Baked basa fish in Honey Orange mustard sauce



Ingredients

  • 250 gms basa fish boneless fillet
  • 6 tsp dijon mustard paste
  • 3 tbsps of honey
  • 3/4 cup fresh orange juice 
  • 1 tbsp orange zest (of half orange)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1-2 tbsp of butter
  • 2 pinches of roasted garlic
  • Salt n pepper to taste
  • Juice of half lemon



Method
  1. Wash the fillets and place them on a kitchen towel to remove extra moisture.
  2. Transfer the fillets on a plate and sprinkle salt, pepper and lemon juice.
  3. Place the fish on a baking dish and drizzle 2 tbsp of honey and olive oil on top of the fish. Sprinkle some orange zest and bake the fish for ten mins at 180 degree c for 5-7 mins.
  4. Meanwhile mix the mustard paste, butter and the remaining honey into the orange juice.
  5. Take out the fish from the oven and pour the orange mixture over the fish.
  6. Bake again for 8-10 mins at 180 degree c. 
  7. When done, leave the dish into the hot oven for five more minutes so that the fish will absorb the juices.
  8. Tada!! The delicious fish is ready 

Vegetarians can use tofu instead of fish
